Easter Lily Research Foundation -- research and marketing foundation for easter lilies The California Oak Foundation -- non-profit educational organization committed to preserving the state's oak forest ecosystem and its rural landscapes. COF advocates for curbing urban sprawl and creating livable cities. California Ornamental Research Foundation is an educational committee established under the Kee Kitayama Foundation (see below). The Hardy Fern Foundation -- a non-profit, membership organization established to provide a comprehensive collection of the world's hardy ferns for display, testing, evaluation, public education and introduction to the gardening and horticultural community. The Herb Research Foundation is the world's first and foremost source of accurate, science-based information on the health benefits and safety of medicinal plants. Heritage Rose Foundation - devoted exclusively to the preservation and study of heritage roses. Institute of Horticulture -the authoritative organization representing all those professionally engaged in horticulture in the U.K. and Ireland. Kee Kitayama Foundation -- established in 1993 to conduct research and education programs for California's cut flower and potted plant industry. The Landscape Plant Development Center -- a non-profit organization devoted to developing improved landscape plants; emphasis is placed on developing plants that are tolerant of insects, diseases and environmental stresses. National Arbor Day Foundation -- encourages tree planting and environmental stewardship. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation - dedicated to the conservation of natural resources, fish, wildlife, and plants. Neem Foundation has a mission to promote global awareness about Neem [tree] and other botanical alternatives. Saratoga Horticultural Research Foundation Inc. The Plant Conservation Alliance -- a consortium of ten federal government Member agencies and over 145 non-federal Cooperators representing various disciplines within the conservation field: biologists, botanists, habitat preservationists, horticulturists, resources management consultants, soil scientists, special interest clubs, non-profit organizations, concerned citizens, nature lovers, and gardeners. PCA Members and Cooperators work collectively to solve the problems of native plant extinction and native habitat restoration, ensuring the preservation of our ecosystem. Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers & Native Plants, Inc. - nonprofit retail nursery offering California native plants and seeds as well as demonstration garden areas, a wildflower nature trail, and natural canyon areas. Trust for Public Lands -- Founded in 1972, the Trust for Public Land is a national nonprofit working to protect land for human enjoyment and well-being. TPL helps conserve land for recreation and spiritual nourishment and to improve the health and quality of life of American communities. |
